It's almost neat, but there are some issues with the readability and consistency of the obstacles.

The biggest offender I encountered were the apples in room 2. One of them drops straight down on you, and it's so fast that it's nearly unreachable. The intended solution for it isn't very clear.

A second issue with the apples is, sometimes they just don't fire at all. This seems good on the surface, but when all 3 apples stay in the tree in room 2, it makes the jump almost impossible, since you can't jump through the tree without dying to the stationary apples.

Also, I like the save blocks a lot. However, I hit a save block while in the path of a trap, (a rising spike), and even though I saved after the trap hit, the trap reset upon death, which hard locked that run, since a trap now spawns ontop of me when I respawn.

Also, the controls were pretty unclear, I had to press random buttons to figure out what to do. Pressing "C" also pulls up an unclear button remap menu.

I never even got far enough to see where Bendy comes into play in this :(

One of your more reasonable fights in terms of difficulty. Pressing C resets the fight, which is annoying since C is a useful movement option, as it lets you pause your movement.

ahhh... i see, i will check it out, and will fix it right away

Having to replay the whole game from the start every death isn't difficult, it's just tedious.

HeXoLrE responds:

Be careful, this game was harder

This is... ok! I'm not sure if this is your original idea or not, but either way, I think it's a neat concept!

The controls should probably be listed somewhere. I had to just kind of guess how to start the game because I had 0 clue what buttons it was asking me to touch. Once I pressed enough random keyboard keys and started, it was pretty straightforward.

Another issue is that the "paddle" is actually really hard to keep track of. Something about how small it is + the colour, I'm having a really hard time keeping track of it's exact location. Maybe more contrast is needed? it's pretty similar in colour to the ring it's on. Hell, I'm not even sure if the ring is necessary, it might be fine just against a black background.

get-a-load-of-this responds:

Oh oops! I had originally formatted it for the pico 8 forums, where people, yunno, already know the keybinds (its z to start btw), and the color orange was the one that had the best contrast but wouldn't kill your eyes. Thanks anyway!

The game's not BAD, but the fact that it's pretty much just a tutorial game is a bit unfortunate. The thumbnail art is fantastic, give TinyTylerr a big smooch for me.

Regardless, you got through a project. Seeing a game through til the very end is something most aspiring game devs don't even do, so good job for making it this far! You should now have the knowledge to know how to make something original when you take a swing at game development again.

JeremyJJ responds:

Thank you so much! I have given TinyTylerr so many smooches for you.

I really appreciate your kind words a lot! There are other projects I do plan on making so hopefully they should be up soon!

It's alright! Not nearly as precise or as difficult as people are saying, it's pretty short and easy. Performance is fine for me on Firefox. Suffers the most from its pacing. dying can set you back half the level~ but doesn't respawn enemies or anything, so it's just a LOOONG trek back

I aspire to be able to design cool characters. I also aspire to make friends over my artwork. Too bad those aren't happening
